Rap's foundation is the cipher (a jam session), created in small groups in urban areas, where participants would challenge themselves to lyricly outdo the others. Nerdcore Hip-Hop has many similarities to the first generation of rap, but it has yet to officially accept the cipher and live rap battling into its culture. This show is dedicated to changing that. Nerdcore artists will come together to battle it out, a perfect mesh of old school and new school.
